Cultural and Social Events
Temple Sinai is a cultural center as well as a religious center. Our goal is to enrich your experience of Jewish culture in a community of creative, thinking people.
The temple plans its cultural events with an eye toward the requirements of senior adults, families and youth. We especially cherish opportunities for inter-generational activities. Throughout the year, Temple Sinai offers a variety of guest speakers, Judaic scholars, a book fair and musical programs.
The temple is a social focal point for its members as we celebrate life and our holidays at both formal and informal events.
We offer a variety of programs throughout the year for your enrichment.
Here's just a sample:
- The Cantorial Concert - A delectable offering of the musical treasures of our people
- Yiddish Club - Come schmooze in Yiddish, English or Yinglish once a week in a casual atmosphere
- Yiddish Cabaret - an annual toe-tapper and heart warmer
- Saturday Night Concert Series
- Beit Tikkun - an opportunity to deepen your spirituality through meditation and study
- Annual Gala Party
- Second Night Community Seder
- Purim Carnival
- Children's Chanukah Party
- Erev Sukkot Family Picnic
- Havurah Program
These and many other programs take place on our grounds in the Nash Sanctuary, Solomon Cultural Center, Goodman Chapel and Samson Social Hall.
