Promise at Sinai

PROMISE AT SINAI is our parent-teacher organization.  The purpose of Promise At Sinai is to enhance the Jewish educational opportunities and youth activities at Temple Sinai.  This organization assists in creating a positive Jewish learning environment for the children of Temple Sinai.  Promise At Sinai encourages parent and teacher involvement in the Jewish education and youth activities of the children.  The PTO conducts fund raising to support both educational and social programs for the Jewish youth of our community.

Beatrice Eslamboly will continue to represent the families on the Temple Board in a different position.

Promise will meet at the Temple the first Sunday of every month at 9:30 a.m. in the Social Hall.  All parents of religious school students are invited to attend.

Join us tonight, Friday, December 2nd for the monthly Family Shabbat service featuring the kindergarten and 1st grade classes.   Families are invited for light appetizers at 6:15.   The service starts at 7:00 and will be followed by an oneg sponsored by Felson/Seiberg family. If anyone is interested in sponsoring future onegs, please contact Miri at mketayi@templesinaipd.org.


Promise Meeting
We hope to see you this Sunday, December 4th from 9:30-10:30 in the Social Hall for our monthly Promise business meeting.  We will be discussing the Hanukkah and Purim events. An agenda is attached.  Coffee will be served.


Yoga
There will not be yoga this Sunday to accommodate the Promise meeting.  Yoga will continue on December 11th from 9:45-10:45 in the Social Hall.  The charge is $15 per class or $75 for six sessions.  Prior yoga experience is not necessary.  Bring your mat and give it a try!


Family Hanukkah Party

Back by popular demand!!  Join us on Sunday, December 11th from 5:30-8:00 for our second annual Family Rockin' Hanukkah Party!!!   There will be activities for the everyone....we will have menorah lighting, pizza and latkes,  DJ playing hip dance tunes, arts and crafts, and hor d'oeuvres for the parents.  We hope to see everyone there!


Supah Saturday Hanukkah Pajamukkah Party
Calling all teens!  Get your PJs on and join us on Saturday, December 10th from 7:45 p.m. until midnight for a one-of-a-kind movie night with latkes, jelly doughnuts and s'mores!  Bring your Jewish friends, grades 7-12.  RSVP with Miri.

Purim Carnival   
Mark your calendars....this year's Purim carnival will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2012.  If anyone is interested in helping with this event please let us know.  Sponsorship opportunities are available for the various activities (rock climbing wall, bounce houses, mechanical swing, laser tag arena, etc).  Consider a year end tax-deductible contribution....details to follow.
