Presidents Message
WELCOME
Surrounded by the mountains of the Coachella Valley, The Palm Desert Jewish community has created a home at Temple Sinai. A dynamic and diverse Reform community, Temple Sinai welcomes everyone interested in Judaism, regardless of the depth of one’s religious background . We strive to apply the basic concepts of Reform Judaism to our conduct as individuals, families, and as a Jewish community. Temple Sinai serves Jews from all walks of life with a variety of programs which provide opportunities for social action, where we respond to the cries of injustice; in the tradition of tikkun olam, we seek to heal a broken world. It is where we provide a wide range of education offering Religious School, Adult Education classes, and Tikvah Nursery School . It is where we offer a community Passover Seder, a Chanukah dinner and celebration, as well as, other holiday events. It is where our vibrant Sisterhood and thriving Brotherhood offer interesting programs, and hold out welcoming arms to one and all. It is where you will find Erev Shabbat services, including our ever popular monthly Zimra (music) service and Family services, Shabbat dinners, and Shabbat morning Torah Study, followed by services.
