Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Dear Bar/BatMitzvah and Family:

Becoming a Bar/Bat Mitzvah is a milestone in the life of a young person.  It is a time of Hebrew accomplishment and also of personal growth.  Above all, Bar/Bat Mitzvah is a sacred religious moment.  Through this process of intense study a young person affirms his/her Jewish values.

The pamphlet is designed to help you understand the significance of Bar/Bat Mitzvah, and to guide your preparation.  The staff and lay leadership of Temple Sinai wish to support you, and to do what we can to ensure the joy of your child becoming a Bar/Bat Mitzvah.

As you proceed with the process of study and planning for Bar/Bat Mitzvah, you will  discover that the Torah is a wellspring of knowledge.
